This past October, Dan and I made a trip to San Francisco and I wanted to share the experiences we had and the places we visited. If you are planning on making a trip to San Fran anytime soon, I hope this helps give you some ideas of things to do and places to see.

Our first stop was at the Big Sur on our way into the city. There are so many stops/lookout points to take on the drive to San Fran. If you are looking to go to a specific spot, be sure to research and map it out. Or if you like to just wing it, like Dan and I did, I'm sure you will still see something amazing along the way. See photos below for the lookout points we stopped at.

We were lucky enough to stay in San Fran for a week, so we were able to do quite a few things. I am going to list the things we did in an order of how much I loved the experience and which locations I feel are a must visit.

One of my favorite memories of our San Fran trip was having a picnic at Mission Dolores Park. We laid out our blanket, indulged in wine and cheese, and people watched. Oh yeah, I can't forget about all the dogs we saw. There were so many to pet and just watch have the time of their lives. Being able to just sit down and enjoy each others company is something that I will cherish forever.

Dan and I had such a great time playing mini golf at Subpar Mini Golf Ghirardelli Square. When Dan first mentioned playing mini golf, I rolled my eyes but gave in and I am so glad I did. It ended up being one of my favorite memories of our trip. Although, I will say this mini golf location is unlike any other location I have ever golfed at. What makes it so different is that you get a little history of San Francisco with each hole being a miniature landmark of this great city. It also helps that they have beer on tap. Beer and golf, it's a great combo! Another perk of this location is that it is at the Ghirardelli Square. If you have the time, you can stop by the factory and see how they make chocolate. This one location has multiple things to do. So not only can you mini golf and see how chocolate is made but you can also stop at a brewery they have or even enjoy some wine tasting.

Speaking about wine tasting, another one of my favorite memories was going to Sonoma Valley, specifically Viansa Sonoma Winery. This was a beautiful winery with amazing views and even better wine. I really enjoyed this because Dan and I got to spend some quality time out of the city in a relaxing environment. I highly recommend this if you love wine or you just want a day to get a away from everything.

We were able to meet up with a friend and attend a San Fran Octoberfest. After the fest, we went to the pier and played some arcade games. It was nice getting to act like a kid again and catch up with friends. I would recommend looking up different things that the city puts on during your visit to take advantage of all that it has to offer.

For our last evening in San Francisco, we had dinner at this place called the Waterbar. This seafood restaurant had an incredible view of Bay Bridge. It's a very fancy place so be sure to dress to impress. After dinner, we decided to get a cocktail at the Top of the Mark. This place has one of the most incredible views in all of San Francisco! The cocktails are a bit pricey, so be prepared to pay a bit. I thought it was worth it to enjoy one drink with a view like that.

I mean did you even go to San Fran if you don't take a photo at the golden gate bridge? I think this one is an obvious must see landmark that San Fran has to offer. I am also going to put in the alamo square with this one. These spots are great for a lot of photo opportunities. You could always spice it up and ride those electronic bikes to get to these locations. You can rent them from the app JUMP. This is what Dan and I did to get to alamo square. It was definitely an exciting experience but let's just say that I am not the best bike rider. So trying not to get run over made things thrilling lol.

For my shopping lovers, we went to two locations. Thrift shopping at Haight Ashbury is a MUST if you like thrifting. You will find some unique stuff here and might even run into some cool little spots, like a book store with a bar in back. For those luxury shoppers, the Westfield San Francisco Centre is a ginormous mall. You will find anything and everything designer here.

San Francisco is an amazing city with so many things to do. I hope this gives you some inspiration and you get to make some memories of your own in SF.

Xx,

Krystal Ann
